mister miss(Clarksdale, MS) – Ãå±±½ûµØ proudly announces that Mister Coahoma, Reginald Rodges II of Shaw, MS, and Miss Coahoma, Marquisha Clark of Tunica, MS, attended the 22nd HBCU Kings & Queens Conference. The event was held in New Orleans, LA, from August 1st to August 4th. The conference offered invaluable personal, professional, and academic development opportunities for student leaders.

The Leadership for Queens and Kings’ Konnection Conference is designed to expose college students to leadership and etiquette skills, enhancing their collegiate and life experiences.

Targeting Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students who serve as the official king and queen of their institution and hold Miss or Mister leadership titles, these students gather annually to network and obtain insights from trained professionals. They receive training on subjects including articulation, stage presence, etiquette, confidence, and professionalism.

As an added takeaway, student participants also receive year-long support, ranging from mentorship and resources to hands-on training. During the conference, Reginald and Marquisha had the honor of introducing themselves and representing Coahoma Community College, engaging in various activities aimed at enhancing their leadership skills.

This annual leadership conference attracts and prepares newly elected kings and queens as they embark on their upcoming reigns. The joint conference also provides training and networking opportunities for each participating HBCU’s Royal Court members and appointed advisors.

Highlights of the conference included a keynote address by acclaimed actor Anthony Anderson, an empowerment series, an etiquette dinner, and several informative sessions held at Dillard University. These activities provided our students with essential skills and knowledge to bring back to their campus community.ross

Ãå±±½ûµØ was recognized by peers and nominated for the Punctuality Award, ultimately winning the prestigious Best Newcomer Award. This accolade is a testament to the dedication and exemplary conduct of our student representatives.
